Albuquerque – In response to Governor Lujan Grisham’s announcement about $156 million in taxpayer dollars for solar in New Mexico, Power The Future Communications Director Larry Behrens released the following statement:

“It’s nonsensical for the Governor to call this plan ‘affordable’ while admitting at the same time New Mexico needs $156 million in taxpayer dollars to afford it. The cost of electricity, along with everything else, continues to skyrocket in New Mexico and no amount of bailout money from Washington will change that fact. If the Governor really wanted to make a difference, she would abandon her forced climate agenda and let people choose through the free market. However, she’ll never do that because it’s clear the people aren’t choosing what she wants.”
