Derik Nelson & Family – sibling harmony at its best!

The angelic voices and superb harmonies of Derik Nelson & Family will grace the stage of WNMU’s Fine Arts Theater Friday Nov 2 at 7:00 p.m.

Derik Nelson & Family has performed the US National Anthem at Seattle Seahawks NFL, Seattle Sounders FC, and Portland Trailblazers NBA home games, and are proud to tour nationwide with their own headlining concert as a family.  The Nelsons have also just been selected for an Ambassadorship through the U.S. Department of State and will be touring Albania and Moldova later this year.

Attending one of the family's mainstage concerts you can expect pristine sound, a state of the art light show, and an integrated 20-foot video display. Derik’s interactive “clones” are featured throughout the show on the 5 screen video “wall.” The multiple “Derik clones” play many different instruments as a “virtual band.” This innovative technical marvel designed by Dalten uses the latest in audio/video technology to take audiences on an aural and visual journey through time, space, an impressive array of landscapes, weather conditions, and musical “settings.”

Listeners will be impressed with the perfectly blended three-part-harmony vocals, in addition to Derik’s thoughtful arrangements of cover songs from a variety of genres, styles, and eras. The program is comprised of original music written by award-winning songwriter Derik Nelson, as well as a range of material spanning multiple decades and genres, including The Eagles, Michael Jackson, James Taylor, classics from the 1930s and 1940s, and more—all with the signature three-part sibling harmony sound that has made Derik Nelson & Family an audience favorite in over 100 concert venues across the country.

Tickets for this concert are $20 for adults who are not season tickets holders. Children to age 17 accompanied by an adult ticket holder are admitted free of charge. WNMU students with a valid student ID are also admitted free of charge. Season tickets can still be purchased for only $55 for all remaining concerts. Season tickets and individual concert tickets can be purchased online at www.gcconcerts.org or in Silver City at The Pink Store (Bullard), the MRAC Office (Wells Fargo Bank Bldg.), or in the lobby at the time of the concert. Further information and/or season subscription forms can be obtained by calling (575) 538-5862.

NOTE: Due to construction on College the Theater can only be accessed off of 12th St.
