Washington, DC (April 26, 2017) Congressman Steve Pearce released the following statement after President Trump signed the "Executive Order Promoting Agriculture and Rural Prosperity in America" yesterday:

"For years, the Obama Administration heavily restricted agricultural producers, putting financial hardships on the backs of farmers and ranchers, and limiting opportunity in rural America. Yesterday's action by President Trump reaffirms the Administration's commitment to assisting rural communities and revitalizing agriculture," stated Rep. Pearce. "This focus on rural development priorities will promote economic improvement and will increase the well-being of farmers and ranchers in New Mexico and across the country. I look forward to continuing my work with agriculture producers in New Mexico and the Administration, to promote job growth and broaden economic horizons in rural America."
