SANTA FE — The Legislative Health and Human Services Committee (LHHS) will hold its fourth meeting of the 2018 interim on Wednesday, August 22, through Friday, August 24, 2018, beginning at 9:00 a.m. each day. The meeting will take place at the Presbyterian Rust Medical Center, 2400 Unser Blvd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.

At this meeting, the committee members will hear presentations about emerging and innovative models of care and other ways to improve health care and lower costs, such as telehealth, Project ECHO and value-based purchasing community partnerships. The committee will also hear presentations regarding Medicaid buy-in options and Centennial Care 2.0. Other topics will include affirmative consent laws, child sexual abuse, autism spectrum disorder and a proposal to create a Native American social work institute.

The LHHS will welcome public comment at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22; 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 23; and 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24.
