SANTA FE, NM – The National Association of County Information Officers (NACIO), an affiliate of the National Association of Counties (NACo), recognized New Mexico Counties (NMC) for their outstanding rebranding campaign at the NACo Annual Conference in Clark County, NV. NMC received the 2018 Awards of Excellence for graphic design of the New Mexico Counties Rebrand Campaign and the 2018 Meritorious Award for audiovisual production of the rebrand video (https://youtu.be/YjibLJl8qn4). NMC received two awards out of 235 entries from 23 counties and 6 county associations from 19 states. With the assistance of Doug Turner and his creative team at Agenda Global Albuquerque, NMC was able to launch a successful rebrand campaign.

In 1966, NACIO was formed to bring together communication professionals to share and exchange information among other county public information officers. The Awards of Excellence recognizes and awards outstanding public relations and public information work being done in counties and state associations. The judging was comprised of experienced NACIO professionals

 “It’s not just about us, New Mexico Counties - it’s about our members, the counties,” said New Mexico Counties Communications Director Susan Mayes. “We represent our counties at the local, state, and national level in everything we do. Together, we are 33 Strong!”

The New Mexico Counties is a non-profit, nonpartisan association representing New Mexico’s 33 counties since 1936. Its mission is to strengthen New Mexico counties’ ability to govern their own affairs and to improve the well-being and quality of life of their constituents.
