The 9th Annual Holiday Artisan Market will be held this weekend, Dec. 2nd and 3rd at the Grant County Veterans Memorial Business and Conference Center next to Ace Hardware on Hwy. 180 East. It will be open from 10 – 4 on Saturday and 11 to 3 on Sunday.
The annual event was started when one of the members couldn’t understand why there was not an indoor art show before Christmas with the number of artists that lived in the area. The first markets were held at the old post office on Broadway downtown. It was hard to find a spot large enough while they were remodeling the conference center. The event is now held annually the first full weekend in December at the newly remodeled business and conference center.
